Making Entries Bold, Italic, and Underline

Your worksheet is going to be a mix of information, numbers, and text. Usually, each set of numbers has a row and column heading that identifies what the data means. To make it easy to spot these headings, you may want to add emphasis; you can make them bold, italic, or underline, or apply all three styles. You may also want to use these font styles to call attention to other data in the worksheet (see Figure 4.4). For example, you may want to boldface the totals so that they are easy to see on the page, or you may want to italicize the worksheet title.
