Editing Drawing Objects

Drawing most objects is only half the battle. You almost always have to perform some sort of formatting on each object so that it appears exactly as you want. Aside from such basic formatting as choosing a fill color or line style, you typically need to edit drawn objects to access some of the exciting new drawing effects available in Excel 97, such as 3-D perspectives, textures, and simulated light sources. In this section, you learn all about editing the objects you draw and accessing the more advanced effects.

Selecting Drawn Objects

Most editing functions are used after you select a particular object. There are several ways to select objects, and each method is appropriate in different circumstances.
