Creating Charts with the Chart Wizard

To create a chart with the Chart Wizard, you first select the data you want charted (you don't have to do this, but it saves time to select the data before you begin the Wizard). When you select data to chart, you select both the data itself along with any labels that describe the data. Excel automatically recognizes the labels and uses them in the resulting chart. Figure 10.1 shows you a sample worksheet that is used for this example with the relevant portion (cells A5:E10) selected for the Chart Wizard.
