Using the Template Wizard to Create a Database

When you are satisfied with the final worksheet (refer to Figure 27.19), you can proceed to creating the database that will enable you to capture the data. This is the easy part because Excel does most of the work for you. But before you plunge ahead, think about what data you want to export to the database worksheet that will be generated.

To begin with, you probably don't need all of the vendor information, just the name. Chances are you already have a vendor database, or at least a good Rolodex file. In any case, if the vendor is used frequently, much of the data will be redundant.
