Controlling Sort Order

Before transferring your data over to your Excel worksheet, you can arrange it in the order in which you want it to appear. Sort your data right in Microsoft Query using the tools provided.

Select the column by which you want to sort your data by clicking anywhere in the column. Click the Sort Ascending button to achieve an A-Z sort. If you are sorting by a column of numbers, the ascending sort is from lowest to highest. Click the Sort Descending button to achieve a sort of Z-A, or highest to lowest.
