Adding Action Buttons on Slides

In the preceding section, you saw how the Set Up Show dialog box enables you to choose between automatic and manual advance. In most cases, you will want to have the slides advance manually, since different people read at different speeds. Even if you are creating a presentation for a speaker to give, you will usually want manual advancing since you can't anticipate when the speaker may need extra time to answer a question.

As you saw at the beginning of this lesson, one way to advance or go back in a slide show is to press the Page Down key or Page Up key on the keyboard. This simple method works fine, except for two things:
