PowerPoint Viewers

There are two ways to provide PowerPoint content to Web users. One is to save the presentation in a pure HTML format. (That's what you did in the preceding steps, unless you chose PowerPoint Animation format in step 4.) The PowerPoint file becomes a generic HTML file that is viewable in almost any Web browser. The person viewing it does not need to have PowerPoint installed on their computer.

The other way is to simply copy the PowerPoint presentation in its native .ppt format to the Web server and let the readers access it as a PowerPoint presentation. This is good because it preserves all your animations and transitions, but it requires that all your readers have a copy of PowerPoint installed.
