Lesson 25. Creating Audience Handouts > Displaying the Handout Master

Displaying the Handout Master

The Handout Master controls the placement and look of the slides on the audience handouts. The slide image placeholders on the Handout Master show you where you can place slides on a handout. To display the Handout Master, perform the following steps:

  1. Select View, Master, Handout Master or hold down the Shift key and click on the Slide Sorter View button. The Handout Master appears, as shown in Figure 25.2.

  2. Zoom in so you can see what you're doing: choose a zoom percentage-66% works well-from the Zoom drop-down list on the Standard toolbar (refer to Figure 25.2).

  3. Click the 2 per page, 3 per page, or 6 per page button to change to the print layout you want to affect. There are separate Handout Master layouts for each type of printout you can choose in the Print dialog box (see Figure 25.1).

  4. Make any changes to the Handout Master that you want to appear on all handouts. For instance, you might want your company's name and logo, and today's date on each page of the handouts.

  5. Click the Close button to exit the Handout Master.

  6. Print your handouts, as described earlier in this lesson.
