Using Document Properties

Every Word document has a set of properties that provide information about the document. Some properties contain summary information that you enter, while others contain information that is automatically generated by Word. To enter or view a document's properties:

  1. Click File, Properties to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Click the Summary tab, as shown in Figure 4.2.

  3. Enter or edit summary information as described in the following list.

  4. Click OK. Document properties are saved along with the document.
