Changing Styles

You can change any style, including standard styles. This capability makes it easy to adapt to the changing tasks you have to do. For example, suppose you defined a style for closing signatures and your company develops a new format. You don't need to define a new style; you can simply redefine the style you previously created. All you need to do is continue working like you did before; the new style definition takes care of the changes.

There are many ways to change a style. To name just a few, you can redefine the style to incorporate new or different characteristics, or you can delete or rename the style. To make assigning styles easier, provide an alias for a style. The following sections discuss these and other techniques for changing styles.
