Chapter 32. Tracking Revisions and Versions > Using the Track Changes Feature

Using the Track Changes Feature

Revising a document is often a job shared by several people. For example, several coworkers might work together to produce an annual report, or more than one editor might review a book. If a revised document has no marks, it can be hard to find everything that was changed or who did the changes. Revision marks show where the document has been changed and by whom, allowing the originator to accept or reject any of the changes.

Adding revision marks is simple. Before someone makes revisions, turn on the Track Changes feature. Revisions to the document are then marked automatically as the reviewer makes changes (see Figure 32.1).
