Chapter 26. Inserting Text Boxes > Formatting Text Boxes

Formatting Text Boxes

There are two approaches to changing the appearance of a text box: You can format the text inside the box, and you can format the box itself. Formatting one does not alter the other— for example, changing the color of the text inside a text box, the color behind the text, and the color of the text box border requires three separate steps.

You can format text boxes in one of three ways—using a menu command, using the text box pop-up menu, or using tools on the Drawing toolbar. To format text inside a text box, you use the same menu commands, tools, and shortcuts you use to format any other text.
