Formatting Pictures

Word gives you many ways to format pictures. You can size and crop them; add a border around them; add a fill color to some pictures; place a shadow behind them; or you can wrap text around pictures. Three important tools help you perform all these formatting feats: the Picture toolbar (shown in Figure 25.17), the Format command, and the Drawing toolbar.

In the upcoming section, "Modifying Pictures," you learn how to can modify the appearance of pictures in other ways, such as by altering a picture's brightness.
