Modifying Pictures

Some of the pictures you include in a Word document are like photographs—they may be scanned photographs or bitmap pictures created with a range of colors and shades. You can modify these pictures in many ways using tools on the Picture toolbar. You can use the Image Control button to change the image type, or you can increase or decrease the contrast and brightness in the picture.

To change the image type, follow these steps:
