Changing Page Setup Defaults

All new documents are based on a template, and unless you choose a different template, Word bases new documents on the Normal template, which contains default page setup choices. Because these default choices may not be exactly what you want, Word gives you the chance to change them by applying your own page setup options to the Normal template and, thus, use your own page setup choices as defaults. You can change the default margins, for example, if you always print on paper that requires different margin settings than those supplied by the Normal template. You can change the paper size if you normally use paper different from standard letter size.
