Undoing Edits

The Undo command reverses the most recent editing action (assuming the action can be reversed). Almost any action can be reversed. You can reverse a number of actions until a command that cannot be reversed is executed. (In earlier versions of Word, the Undo command was limited to 100 or fewer actions.) It is often a good idea to undo an action as soon as you realize you made a mistake. Continuing to work may result in an action that cannot be reversed, thus making it impossible to automatically reverse earlier actions. Also, any steps performed after the action you want to undo will also be reversed.

To undo the last action, choose Edit, Undo, or press Ctrl+Z.
