Typing over Text

One helpful feature in Word enables you to replace selected text with text you type or paste from the Clipboard.

If you accidentally type over selected text, you can undo your mistake by immediately choosing Edit, Undo, clicking the Undo button, or pressing Ctrl+Z. (See Undoing Edits later in this chapter for more information about the Undo command.)
