Understanding Where and When Customizing Occurs

You have the ability to assign one of Word's built-in commands or one of your macros to a menu command, toolbar button, or shortcut key. However, unless you know a few rules about assigning commands and macros, you may cause conflicts. When conflicts occur, a command or macro other than the one you expect may run.
