Creating a Master Document

There are three ways to create a master document:

  • Create a master document from scratch by entering an outline for your document, using one of the heading levels to indicate the beginning of each subdocument. You then create the subdocuments from the headings, using one of the buttons on the Master Document toolbar.

  • Create a master document from an existing document.

  • Combine several documents into a master document.
