Part II: Using Text in Presentations > Notes Pages and Handouts

Chapter 5. Notes Pages and Handouts

by Dorothy Burke

  • Make the best use of Notes Pages and Handouts

Use Notes Pages to script your presentation and to rehearse your talk. Print Handouts for your audience to take notes on or refer to later.

  • Create your notes while you build your slides

As you add slides to your presentation in either Slide or Outline view, you can add notes as well. Write down the important thoughts you want to share with your audience.

  • Produce useful handouts

Make the materials you pass out during your presentation worth holding on to. Leave space for your audience to make notes, or give them Notes Pages.

  • Print your Notes Pages and Handouts

You can print Notes Pages and Handouts from PowerPoint, or you can copy your presentation information to Microsoft Word, refine the formatting, and print it from there.
