Part VI: Taking Presentations Online > Using PowerPoint on an Intranet

Chapter 20. Using PowerPoint on an Intranet

by Todd White

  • Collaborating on presentations with others on your intranet

PowerPoint now makes it easier than ever to distribute presentations to a defined group for review and collaboration. Via e-mail, you can now quickly and easily pass along an entire presentation to an individual or a group of recipients. Presentations can even be routed through a defined group or posted to a public Microsoft Exchange folder for public access.

  • Conducting or receiving presentations over a network

Presentation Conferences provide new opportunities for distance-training, corporate meetings, and long-distance information sharing. Enjoying the multimedia benefits of a PowerPoint presentation no longer requires presenter and audience to be in the same location; just connected via a computer network.

  • How to link to existing PowerPoint presentations on your intranet

Know of a presentation available on the company intranet that will explain your second bullet point on your seventh slide? Why not link to it? Learn how to use the resources already created and made available on your company intranet, and learn how to link to another presentation over a network.
