Chapter 9. Adding Animation and Sound > Adding Animation Effects

Adding Animation Effects

One final multimedia setting you can make to objects in your slide show is an animation effect. An animation effect is a motion effect that determines how an element appears on your slide during a presentation. Objects can appear to fly on-screen, to drop in from the top of the screen, or to seem to be typed on the page as with a typewriter.

These effects can be used in combination with Action Settings, so that you can cause the title of a slide to fly on from the side of the screen, while a screeching brake sound clip plays. This ability to combine actions and animation effects can make for a very dynamic presentation.
