Chapter 9. Adding Animation and Sound > Assigning Action Settings to Other Obje...

Assigning Action Settings to Other Objects

You can use the same settings from the Action Settings dialog box discussed in the previous section on any object in your presentation. Simply select the object (such as a piece of clip art or even title text) and choose Slide Show, Action Settings. The Action Settings dialog box appears. Again, you can associate two actions per object: one that occurs when you pass your mouse over the object, and one that occurs when you click the object.

Caution

Be careful when assigning Mouse Over actions. Several on a page could trigger unwanted actions at your slightest movement and make you lose control of the effects. It's also a good idea to create a play sheet for yourself so you can remember what objects perform which actions, and when. This is especially important when you are preparing an on-screen show that someone else may present.
