Using More Than One Field

In all the examples so far, the data field label (located above the row heading and to the left of the column heading) has shown the type of summary calculation (such as Sum of) and the name of a data field (such as Sales). This label indicates that the pivot table contains only one data field.

You can include more than one data field in Step 3 of the PivotTable Wizard. You can actually include more than one field in columns, rows and page field as well. In the sales example, for instance, you might want to view the sales for each product line along with the products in the line. Figure 27.27 shows a pivot table with two row fields, Product_Line and Product.
