Chapter 20. Managing the Worksheet Display > Working with Multiple Windows

Working with Multiple Windows

Excel enables you to have multiple windows on-screen. You can use this to display more than one workbook at a time or to arrange the worksheets contained in one workbook. Working with multiple documents is a great convenience and time-saver when you want to link worksheets, view worksheets and graphs simultaneously, or see multiple documents at the same time.

Opening Additional Documents

When you need to work with the contents of other workbooks or data files, open additional files with the File, Open command, just as you opened the first document. These new workbooks appear in separate windows.
