Chapter 5. Formatting Worksheets > Applying Multiple Formats at One Time

Applying Multiple Formats at One Time

Styles are a powerful formatting feature in Excel that can save you time and help you apply a group of formats consistently. By giving a set of combined formats a style name, you can apply that combination to one or more cells by choosing the style name rather than all the individual formats. If you later change the definition of formats associated with that style, all cells having that style immediately change to the new definition. A style name is defined for all sheets in a workbook.
