Controlling How Excel Starts

When Excel starts, it opens all workbooks, charts, and workspace files found in the XLSTART folder. This feature is useful for automatically starting workbooks, macro-driven applications, and macro add-ins. But you may also find it useful to have a separate startup folder for temporary working files or for a private startup folder on a network.

To specify one additional startup folder, follow these steps:
