Transferring Toolbars and Menus to Other Users

When you create or customize a toolbar or menu, the settings for these changes are saved in a toolbar settings file located in the Windows folder. The name of the file is EXCEL.XLB if you are not connected to a network and are not using different user profiles on a non-networked system. If you are connected to a network or have set up different user profiles for Windows 95 on a stand-alone system, the file has the name USERNAME.XLB, where USERNAME is your log-in name. Excel uses this file to automatically redisplay your custom toolbars and menus whenever you start Excel on your system, so they are available in all workbooks.
