Creating Hierarchical Charts

You can create charts that display more than one level of categories or series on the same chart. The data in Figure 18.16 has two levels along the vertical side of the data range: regions, and Sales and Net Income. When this data is plotted, a hierarchical series is created, as shown in Figure 18.17. The legend indicates that there are two series of data for each category (quarter). The first level is Sales; the second level is Net Income.
