How Do You Fit In?

When using Lotus Notes, you can work either on the local drive or on the network drive. When you work on the local drive, you are working with the files, databases, or messages stored on your computer's hard drive. When you work on the network drive, you are accessing files and such stored on the server. Which you choose depends on your current project.

Note

Local versus Network The local drive refers to your workstation's hard drive (usually C). The network drive refers to a drive you connect to through the LAN (local area network) or WAN (wide area network); it might be drive F, G, or H, for example.
