Chapter 14. Using OneNote with Other Off... > Copying Material from Web Pages

Copying Material from Web Pages

Copying text or a graphic from a Web page into a note is simply a matter of copying and pasting. What makes copying material from a Web site into OneNote special are the hyperlinks that appear after you paste the material. OneNote automatically places a hyperlink to the source of the material below the text or graphic after it is pasted in a note. You can then click the hyperlink to go straight to the source of the material in your Web browser.

At The Garden Company, employees often paste information from the Internet in their notes. By clicking the hyperlinks in notes, they can visit Web pages and do more extensive research about the plants that are sold in the store. The information in the note shown in the following graphic was pasted from a Microsoft Web site. By simply clicking the link, any Garden Company employee can go to the Web site and get the information it supplies.
