Chapter 10. Taking Notes in Outline Form > Including Body Text in Outlines

Including Body Text in Outlines

In an outline, body text is explanatory text under an outline item. You can include body text in your outline when you want to explain an item further but you don’t necessarily want your explanation to appear in your outline. OneNote includes a button for hiding body text in an outline so you don’t have to display it. At The Garden Company, employees use body text to write questions about the upcoming staff meeting on the outlines that are distributed to them. This way, they can hide the questions when they want to focus on the meeting agenda in the outline.
