Creating Outlines in Notes

To create an outline in a note, you simply indent text to show how the items in the outline relate to one another in a hierarchy. Major topics are aligned along the left margin of the note. Subtopics are indented from the left margin according to their importance in relation to other topics. OneNote accommodates 17 levels of indentation, although you probably won’t need that many. In the following graphic, you can see an agenda of The Garden Company’s weekly staff meeting. There are three levels of indentation in this outline.
