Key Points

  • You can store notes in folders, sections, pages, and subpages. This makes it easy to find your notes later.

  • To create a new folder or section, right-click a tab, and then click a command; click a command on the Insert menu; or click New on the File menu, and make a selection in the New task pane.

  • You can prevent others from viewing a section by password-protecting it.

  • To create a new page or subpage, click the New Page or New Subpage button below the page tabs; click the appropriate command on the Insert menu; or click New on the File menu, and click a selection in the New task pane.

  • You can create a group to consolidate pages from different parts of a section into a single parent page and set of subpages.

  • You can move easily from page to page by clicking page and subpage tabs. To go to a page in any open section, open the Page List task pane.

  • To change the order of page tabs, select the tabs you want to move, and then drag them up or down the tab list.
