Sending Notes by E-Mail

People with Microsoft Outlook 2003 installed on their computers can send notes by e-mail from inside OneNote. Sharing notes this way is very convenient. It spares you from having to open your e-mail program and send notes from there. You can also send a page of notes, several pages in a section, or all the pages in a section. The notes arrive in the recipient’s mailbox in the form of an e-mail message with all the notes laid out on the message body. OneNote also creates a new section from the notes and sends the section as a file attachment.

At The Garden Company, employees regularly send notes to one another. Instead of composing an e-mail message describing their plans and ideas, they simply e-mail the notes. If the recipient has OneNote installed, he or she can open the section file and read the notes in OneNote. If the recipient doesn’t have OneNote, he or she can read the notes in the body of the e-mail message
