Chapter 15. Recording and Playing Audio ... > Removing Audio Notes from a Page

Removing Audio Notes from a Page

You can use the Delete Recording command to delete all audio files associated with a page and its subpages. Deleting an audio file isn’t simply a matter of deleting the note to which an audio file is linked. If you delete a note container that is linked to an audio file, the note is deleted, but the audio file remains on your computer. If you want to delete some audio files but not others on a page, delete the audio files you don’t want in Windows Explorer or My Computer.

Troubleshooting

Audio files can’t be played in OneNote if the notes to which they are linked have been deleted or moved. However, you can always play an audio file in Windows Explorer or My Computer by double-clicking it.
