Capturing Data in Screen Clippings

A screen clipping is a snapshot of something on a computer screen—part of a Web site, numbers from a worksheet, or text from a Word document. A screen clipping is a wonderful way to convey data in your notes. Instead of describing something in a note, you can simply show it. As they say, a screen clipping is worth a thousand words.

The following graphic shows a screen clipping taken from an Excel worksheet. Reconstructing these numbers in a note would take some work, but it takes only a second or two to take a screen clipping from an Excel worksheet and put it in a note.
