Printing Files

Ready for another set of three? Oops—not everything is as predictable as it seems—there are actually four ways you can print from within an Office XP application:

  • Open the File menu and choose Print.

  • Press Ctrl+P.

  • Click the Print tool on the toolbar. Be forewarned, though—this action sends the document directly to the default printer without stopping to show you the Print dialog box, so the document will print according to your default options.

  • Open the File menu and choose Print Preview. The document is displayed in a preview window on your screen so you can see how it will appear in print. If everything looks good, click the Print tool on the Preview toolbar to complete the print operation.
