Choosing a Font

The way in which you choose a font depends in part on what you’re doing. If you’re just beginning to enter text and want to choose a new font, simply position the cursor at the point in the document you want the new font to take effect and click the Font down arrow. Select the font you want from the displayed list. (Notice that Word displays the fonts as they will appear in the document, which helps you know what you’re selecting.)

If you want to change the font of existing text, highlight the text before you click the Font down arrow and select the font you want. All selected text then appears in the new font.
