Chapter 20. First, the Basics  > A Walk Around the FrontPage Window

A Walk Around the FrontPage Window

Start Microsoft FrontPage by clicking Start, choosing All Programs, and selecting Microsoft FrontPage. The FrontPage window opens in a familiar-but-somewhat-different Office XP interface (as shown in Figure 20-1). The sections that follow give you a quick introduction to the elements you’ll use most often in the FrontPage window.

Tip

The first time you fire up FrontPage, the program asks whether you’d like to designate FrontPage as your default Web page editor. If you’d like to use FrontPage by default, click Yes. This means that whenever you view or edit an HTML file, FrontPage will start. Microsoft Word is the application selected for the Web page editor by default.
