Chapter 20. First, the Basics  > Viewing Navigation Paths and Links

Viewing Navigation Paths and Links

Once you create the Web site, add the text, and insert the pictures, you’re ready to see how your site fits together. When you use a wizard to create the site, the navigation system (the way in which you move from page to page) and the linking is already done. The navigation buttons appear along the left, top, and bottom of the page (depending on the choices you selected in the wizard); and the links are already made so that when you click the Preview tab and click one of the buttons, you are taken to that page.

When you want to view the navigation system the wizard established for you, display the site in Navigation view by clicking the Navigation icon on the Views bar. The Navigation window shows icons of each page, with lines connecting the pages to which they are linked. You can collapse and expand the navigation diagram by clicking the minus (-) and plus (+) buttons in the bottom center of linked pages (as shown in Figure 20-6).
