Printing Spreadsheets

Once you get your worksheet looking just the way you want it, you will probably want to print a copy. Even if your goal is to send the file over the Internet or post it on the Web, having a printout to stick in a file somewhere is a good idea for very important documents. The process of printing a spreadsheet in Excel is basically this: Choose what you want to print, and print it.

Getting a Fast Print

If you know that you want the default settings of Excel to apply to your print job, the fastest way to print your spreadsheet is to display your worksheet and click the Print button on the Standard toolbar. A quick status box appears, telling you that the file is being sent to the printer and then—voilà!—there it is. Fast and easy.
