Retrieving Data from the Web

The World Wide Web is a great source of information. From stock quotes to product descriptions, many companies publish useful information on their Web sites. The most common HTML structure used to present financial information is the table, which, like a spreadsheet, organizes the data into rows and columns, as in the following graphic.
