Selecting Paper Size and Source

Another page setup task involves preparing your document for final printing. Specifically, you need to specify a paper size and paper source. Word offers a range of paper sizes. The standard basics are there—from letter (traditional 8.5-by-11-inch) to legal (8.5-by-14-inch) to traditional business envelopes. In addition to the usual paper sizes, Word also supports statement, executive, and index card sizes. You’ll also find numerous envelope options.

Choosing a Paper Size

To select a paper size, choose File, Page Setup to display the Page Setup dialog box, and then click the Paper tab. The options on the Paper tab all have to do with the paper size and source you’ll use, as shown in Figure 15-3. Click the Paper Size arrow, and then choose the size you want from the list that appears.
