Part 11: Appendixes > Using the Language Bar

Using the Language Bar

The Language bar is a special toolbar that includes commands and buttons controlling aspects of the built-in voice recognition and handwriting services. The Language bar appears either floating on the screen or as an icon in the system tray area of the Windows taskbar, as shown in Figure B-1. (The system tray is on the opposite end of the taskbar from the Start button.) Note that if more than one language is installed, the taskbar icon displays an abbreviation for the current system language, such as EN for English.

Figure B-1. Right-click the EN icon or click the Restore icon in the taskbar and choose Show The Language Bar to display the Language bar as a floating toolbar.
