Installing Office

To start the installation process, do the following:

  1. Exit all programs that are running on your computer. You must be logged on with administrator privileges.

  2. Insert the first CD and follow the instructions on the screen.

    Note

    If the “autorun” program fails to start after inserting the CD (it might take a minute), use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CD and double-click the Setup icon.


  3. Before the installation can proceed, you are prompted to enter a Product Key. Look for this key on the CD case, enter it in the space provided, and click Next.

  4. Choose the type of installation you want. Use Typical Install (recommended) unless you want to include or exclude particular programs or features.

  5. Follow the remaining instructions in the Microsoft Office Setup program.
