Adding a Customized Chart to the Chart Wizard Gallery

If you want to use a particular combination of chart formats repeatedly, it's best to create a new entry in Excel's chart type gallery. First create the chart that you want to serve as a model for other charts. Select the chart, and then choose Chart, Chart Type. Click the Custom Types tab, click the User-Defined option in the Select From group, and click Add. In the Add Custom Chart Type dialog box, supply a name for the custom chart and (if you like) a description of it.

To delete a customized chart from the gallery, return to the gallery, click the User-Defined option, select the name of the customized chart type you want to delete, click the Delete button, and then answer the confirmation prompt.
