Chapter 4. PDF Document Review > Add Text Editing Comments

19. Add Text Editing Comments

Text edits are handled differently from other types of comments. Instead of selecting a commenting tool, clicking in your document to place some sort of marker, and then entering your comments in a separate window, you basically make text edits as you would in a word processor and Acrobat marks the text appropriately. For example, if you select a block of text and press the Backspace or Delete key, the text is marked for deletion as indicated by a red line through the selected text. On the other hand, if you click somewhere in your text and start typing, a text insertion marker is added to indicate where the new text should be inserted. Regardless of the type of text edit, if you hold the mouse over the text edit indicator, a pop-up appears, displaying the additional or changed text or any comments associated with that text.
