29. Select Multiple Items


Perhaps you've seen a financial newsletter that emphasizes important points by underlining them. Or how about a gossip column that boldfaces the names of celebrities? These are among many ways you might want to select isolated pieces of a document to apply special formatting. The obvious solution is to select one block of text at a time and then apply the formatting to each selection. The not-so-obvious solution is to select all these blocks at once, even though they are not adjacent. Then you can apply the formatting to all of them at the same time.
