Text Email

The standard for text email defines the headers that make up an email message. Each header appears on its own line, and a blank line follows each header in the message. Table A.1 describes some of these headers.

REPLY-TOThe mailbox where replies should be sent
TOThe primary recipients of the message
CCThe secondary recipients of the message
BCCAdditional recipients of the message who aren't displayed in the message sent to primary and secondary recipients
RECEIVEDRecords the path taken to deliver the message
MESSAGE-IDA unique ID that identifies a particular version of a message
KEYWORDSA comma-delimited list of keywords
SUBJECTThe title of the message
